About East Colorado Springs

Everyone in the family will find something to do in the East neighborhood.

The fastest growing part of the Colorado Springs Community, the east side is conveniently located between the city’s two largest shopping malls with significant numbers of new retail stores along Powers Boulevard. Approximately 8 miles east of downtown, there is plenty of recreation for this community with the Sky Sox baseball stadium, two golf courses, and several sports fields. Homes in this area are convenient to both Shriever and Peterson Air Force Bases. Homes in this area range from $180,000 to well over $500,000.

The Citadel Mall, Murray Square Shopping Center and Rustic Hills North Shopping Center offer plenty of stores for mom, while dad enjoys a day at the Colorado Springs Country Club. The younger kids will be entertained at Audubon, Wasson, or Jefferson Parks and the teens can sport their talents at the Gary Barry Stadium astroturf field used for school District 11 sporting events.

Enjoy a magnificent view of the city from beautiful Palmer Park. You will also find great hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails along with a myriad of quaint picnic areas. Readers will enjoy this peaceful park for sitting down with a good book from the nearby Ruth Holley Library. The Audubon Medical Campus and Penrose Community Hospital are also located in this neighborhood.
