of shopping venues in this bustling community. Nearly all
the national brand stores are here – Sam’s Club,
Burlington Coat Factory, Kohl’s, Target – along
with local favorites such as Kirk & Hill and Regina’s
Unique Boutique.
The Shops at Briargate is one of the newest developments
in town. With 50 stores, including Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma
and Ann Taylor, the mall caters to upscale shoppers. Two other
major malls, The Citadel and Chapel Hills Mall, offer shoppers
stores such as Dillard’s, Foley’s, the Gap and
Eddie Bauer.
Across town is First & Main Town Center, a 200,000-acre
mixed-use retail community that will eventually have more
than 80 stores.
One of the great success stories is the revitalization of
the downtown core. There, you’ll find locally owned
apparel, gift and home furnishing stores.
Finally, locals and tourists alike enjoy the eight-block
district known as Old Colorado City. Reminiscent of the Old
West, it’s not uncommon to see horse-drawn carriages
ambling down the street during the holidays.
